Clarion Psychiatric Center offers inpatient treatment for adults with moderate to severe psychiatric problems, inpatient crisis stabilization for children and adolescents, and a Partial Hospitalization Program for school-aged children. Our recently expanded 112-bed inpatient program has 4 units. Provide therapy to individuals and groups concerning treatment issues and goals. Serve on hospital committees. Perform group therapy and assess patient needs related to chemical dependency. Collaborate as part of the treatment team.
Must demonstrate competency in all listed criteria. Flexibility for re-assignment across units serving varied populations (children, adolescents, adults). Follow all facility policies and procedures. Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Masters Degree in Social Service field required.
Not required.
Inpatient/outpatient psychiatric experience preferred. Experience in individual and/or group therapy.
Understanding of family dynamics, casework, social policy, therapeutic relationships, growth and development, behavior management, crisis intervention, CPR, and patient education.

Hospital setting with potential risks from aggressive patients. Well-lit, ventilated, with exposure to infectious materials. Frequent interruptions and varied conditions.
Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods. Capable of crisis prevention interventions. Drug-free environment required.
