Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Group Therapist to conduct group therapy for acute, residential youth/adult patients and develop evidence-based curricula. The role includes documenting within set timeframes and shaping group therapy services to meet patient and facility needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Masters Level Therapist or Social Worker, or under supervision for license.
• LCSW preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Drug test and national background check required.
• Physical agility to manage patients and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director, the Group Therapist primary role will be to conduct group therapy to meet caseload requirements for Acute or Residential Child/Adolescent and/or Adult patients. Responsible for developing and/or utilizing an evidenced based group therapy curriculum and completing documentation within established time frames and formats. Responsible for design, structure, and implementation of group therapy services to best meet the needs of patients and facility

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+.
