Job summary

Western Wayne Family Health Centers seeks an experienced mental health professional to provide individual, group, and family therapy in a collaborative care setting. The role includes crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, and active involvement in treatment planning with the team.

You will diagnose psychological disorders, perform assessments, and handle case management and insurance processes, while maintaining EMR documentation and scheduling with psychiatrists as needed.

Qualifications

  • Fully licensed mental health professional in Michigan (LMSW or LPC) with a minimum of two years experience.
  • Limited Licensed Mental Health Professional in the process of obtaining full licensure within 6–12 months; documentation needed at interview.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group and family therapy.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
  • Develops an annual comprehensive psychosocial assessment.
  • Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team.
  • Participates in the peer-review process for the therapist.
  • Provides pre-screening for depression, anxiety and other psychological disorders.
  • Conducts individual and family counseling sessions with clients.
  • Diagnose for psychological disorders.
  • Conducts psycho-social assessment.
  • Provides case management.
  • Assists clients as they apply for health insurance.
  • Contacts social service agencies on behalf of clients to obtain services.

PART I: ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION AND DUTIES
  • Provides individual, group and family therapy.

Qualifications
  • Any fully licensed mental health professional, (i.e., LMSW, LPC) to provide mental health and/or behavioral health services in the State of Michigan with a minimum of two years experience.
  • Limited Licensed Mental Health Professional who are in the process of obtaining full licensure within 6 – 12 months. *Documentation is needed upon interview.

  • Knowledge of health care administration systems.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.
  • Knowledge of computer, systems, and applications.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing and supervising patient care.
  • Skilled in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, decision making.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the general public
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs
  • Skilled with working in a complex work environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and maintain organizationally appropriate relationships
