Job summary

Hoyleton Youth & Family Services seeks a Youth Care Worker-Residential Cook to prepare meals for cottages and support supervision of residents. The role delivers structured daily therapeutic programming under supervision, engaging youth in therapy and skill-building activities while documenting interactions per Medicaid Rule 140 using CARE and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).

Responsibilities include food service, youth supervision, and accurate record-keeping to ensure safety and progress

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred.
• Ability to learn CARE and TCI and implement daily programming.

Responsibilities

• Prepares nutritious meals and snacks per menus and standards.
• Supervises cottage residents and helps develop cooking/cleaning skills.
• Maintains accurate records per agency policies and state requirements.
• Engages youth in daily therapeutic activities aligned with CARE goals.
• Performs safety protocols including restraint when necessary and de-escalation.
• Completes daily care hours with Medicaid-compliant interventions.
• Participates in supervision and team meetings.
