Job summary

Northeast Center for Youth and Families (NCYF) is seeking a Therapeutic Training and Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in Easthampton, MA. You will support implementation of treatment plans under clinician supervision and assist youth and families in understanding and managing emotions.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma/GED with experience with youth, or an Associate/Bachelor's degree with direct youth experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of youth work, or Associate's with 1+ year direct service.
• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year direct experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with CORI, DCF, and driving background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of treatment plans under clinician supervision.
• Assist youth and families in understanding and managing emotions.
• Address youth emotional and mental health needs in collaboration with the treatment team.

Therapeutic Training and Support Worker

The position is part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, working under clinician supervision to support the implementation of treatment plans and assist youth and families in achieving goals. Responsibilities include teaching youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses, and helping families address youth emotional and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus at least two years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition‑aged youth OR Associate’s Degree and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant direct service experience with youth and families requiring behavior management to address mental health needs.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and one (1) year of direct relevant experience with youth and families requiring behavior management preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Approved CORI, DCF, and driving background checks.
• Valid driving license in active status and reliable transportation.
• Auto insurance coverage per NCYF policy: optional Bodily Injury to Others limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident, and Damage to Someone Else’s Property limits of at least $100,000 on the vehicle(s) used to transport clients. Proof of coverage must be provided prior to beginning employment.
