The Therapeutic Support Specialist is responsible for directly assisting children/youth who exhibit acute social, emotional and/or behavioral challenges. The incumbent works closely with direct care staff and team members in all direct care departments to provide coaching as necessary and ensure consistency of approaches. The Therapeutic Support Specialist’s primary focus is child centered; to provide services that meet the children’s individual and group treatment needs. The Residential Life Department is an amazing team of professionals that will train and guide the TSS to provide support and counseling to the students.
Starting Salary: $24.18 - $25.78 per hour DOE
Must be willing to work a rotating schedule that includes evenings.
All employees in this department (regardless of full or per diem status) are required to participate in a full 8 day paid training to prepare you for meaningful work in the field. Note that 5 of those days are consecutive and cannot be moved due to certification requirements.
