Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an Activities Coordinator to design, create and implement recreational and social activities and programs for children/adolescents with intellectual & developmental disabilities/autism and behavioral health needs in residential programs in West Chester, PA. This role offers creativity, event planning, and direct positive impact on youths’ lives.

The position requires planning 12p-8p on school days, with 2 weekend shifts per month; compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• At least three years experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and behavior disorders.
• Proficient computer skills; data collection experience with Radar/Pro-Filer or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and oversee social and recreational programs for students with autism, developmental and/or behavioral disabilities.
• Track and implement effective recreational activities using established procedures.
• Schedule use of gymnasium, pool and other recreational areas.
• Schedule, oversee and implement special events and activities and maintain documentation (e.g., Special Olympics, Fall Festival, Summer Picnic).
• Maintain supplies and inventory for unit activities.
