Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) to assess clients and create individualized recreation therapy plans across residential, crisis, and outpatient settings. You will facilitate activities, document progress in the EHR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation, practicum completion, and a current Utah TRS license.

Qualifications

• Conduct therapeutic recreation assessments and identify client strengths, needs, and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized recreation therapy treatment plans.
• Document services and progress in the EHR with accuracy.
• Collaborate with therapists and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide services across residential, crisis, and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic recreation assessments and identify client strengths, needs, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized recreation therapy treatment plans.
• Facilitate engaging therapeutic recreation activities in both group and individual settings.
• Document services, client progress, and interventions in the EHR.
• Evaluate client progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical providers.
• Provide services across residential, crisis, and outpatient settings.
• Promote a safe, inclusive environment and follow professional standards.
• Supervise TRTs, interns, or other staff as assigned.
• Travel to agency clinics and treatment facilities as needed.
