Job description

Join to apply for the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist role at Henry Ford Health.

Provides therapeutic recreation services to patients referred for services to restore, remediate, and rehabilitate a person's level of functioning and independence in life activities, to promote health and wellness, and to reduce or eliminate activity and participation restrictions.

Full-Time 40-Hour Days

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with a major in Therapeutic Recreation is required.
• Current National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire date.

Preferred Experience:

• Rehabilitation Setting: Clinical training and experience in a physical rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Behavioral Health Setting: Clinical experience in a behavioral health setting as Recreation Therapist is preferred.
