Job summary

The State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking an Activity Therapist 3 for West Central Georgia Regional Hospital. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or related discipline and two years of experience, with possible registration requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a therapeutic recreation or related therapeutic discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year at Activity Therapist 2 (HCP061) or equivalent.
• Some positions may require registration in the area of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs or coordinates therapeutic recreation programs.
• Conducts assessment of a client's condition and recommends appropriate recreational activity.
• Programs may include sports, gardening, dramatics, music, social activities, and arts and crafts.
