Job summary

The Therapeutic Recreation Assistant at iCare Health Network in Hartford, CT will run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive activities, outings, and events for residents, supporting their well-being and engagement.

You will follow monthly calendars, coordinate diverse programs, and collaborate with clinical staff to tailor activities for seniors and adults with special needs.

This role requires English proficiency and a compassionate, multi-cultural mindset; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience running, developing/planning and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
• Ability to run, develop/plan and implement multiple events and programs and work with diverse disciplines in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) required; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete and follow activity calendars with a variety of activities scheduled.
• Participates, organizes, and implements daily social and therapeutic activities and events.
