Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, is seeking an Activity Coordinator to support structured therapeutic recreation under the guidance of the CTRS. You will plan and deliver individual and group activities, document progress in the chart, and participate with the treatment team to address patient needs.

A high school diploma and CPR certification are required; inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
• Certificate from Activities Training Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing structured therapeutic recreational activities under CTRS supervision.
• Plan and conduct individual and group activities.
• Participate as a treatment team member and report on patients.
• Document timely in the medical record.
• Communicate with patients and families in a sensitive manner.
• Identify safety and equipment needs under CTRS direction.
• Assist in discharge planning considering patient needs and family involvement.
• Assist in planning and conducting therapy as ordered.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
