Job summary

Hastings Senior Health & Living, a Cassia community, is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator to join the team in Hastings, MN. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a varying schedule including every other weekend and holidays. Wage range is $22.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will conduct engaging activities for residents, help implement programs, and document participation. We value reliability, energy, compassion, and patience in aging-care settings.

Qualifications

• Prior experience implementing activity programs for long-term-care residents or equivalent education.
• Demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.
• Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a pleasant and easily understood manner.
• Event planning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
• Assist in implementing therapeutic recreation programs.
• Interact and assist residents one-to-one outside of structured program times.
• Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.
• Act as a positive representative at all times.
• Display courtesy and respect for residents, families, and staff.

As a Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator at Hastings Senior Health & Living, you will conduct fun and exciting activities with our residents and help them enjoy their day. Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position working a varying schedule including every other weekend and holidays

Wage Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience

Location: 930 West 16th Street, Hastings, MN 55033

We are located near the cities of Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, Rosemount, Woodbury and Prescott, Wisconsin.

Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
• Assist in implementing therapeutic recreation programs.
