Job summary

New Horizon Community Care (NHCC) is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support youth and young adults in after‑school therapeutic programs. The BHT will help plan activities, mentor participants, and assist the clinical team with individualized treatment plans to ensure safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience with at‑risk youth or behavioral health populations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage group dynamics.
• Comfort with structured environments.
• Willingness to learn crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure safety
• Facilitate groups, activities, and skill-building sessions
• Support treatment goals and behavior plans
• Assist with documentation and case coordination
