Complete Care, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Recreation Assistant for our facility in Naugatuck, Connecticut. As a part of our team, you will lead activities and build deep relationships with residents, ensuring they receive compassionate care.

Qualifications include a preference for a Therapeutic Recreation Degree and the ability to lead group programs. We offer a full-time position with weekend shifts and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in activities like games, crafts, exercise sessions, and other group programs.
• Provide one-on-one activities or modifications as needed based on individual resident assessments and care plans.
• Assist with activity planning and scheduling.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff about activities and programs.

Qualifications

• TRD (Therapeutic Recreation Degree) preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Knowledge of elderly ill and/or disabled.
