The Therapeutic Recreation Aide supports the Therapeutic Recreation Director by delivering daily therapeutic programming that aligns with each resident’s individualized plan of care and enhances their overall quality of life. This role facilitates group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and psychosocial needs, encourages engagement, and builds positive relationships with residents and families. The Aide maintains activity calendars, adjusts schedules based on census changes, and assists with transporting and supporting residents during in-facility and off-site events while helping volunteers contribute meaningful programming. Responsibilities also include documenting participation and progress, contributing to care coordination, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA, infection control standards, safety protocols, and QAPI requirements all in support of residents’ rights and well‑being.
