Job summary

Lorenzi Health is seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to provide structured, one-to-one support for youth to reach daily living, social, and behavioral goals. Interventions may take place in the youth’s home or in a community setting.

We welcome bilingual Spanish-speaking professionals to better serve a diverse community and support youth development with expert supervision and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HISET plus two years of youth-work experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's in Human Services plus one year of youth experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience collaborating with multiple team members to achieve a goal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured, one-to-one support to assigned youth to achieve daily living, social, behavioral, and communication goals.
• Determine interventions and activities most effective for treatment goals; may occur at home or in community settings.

Requirements

What would I be doing as a Therapeutic Mentor?

You would provide structured, one-to-one support to assigned youth in order to achieve goals specific to daily living, social, behavioral, and communication needs. As a Therapeutic Mentor, you would determine the interventions & activities that will be most effective in achieving the treatment goals. Interventions may take place in the youth’s home or in a community setting.

What do I need to bring to the position?

• High School Diploma/HISET and two (2) two years of experience working with youth in any capacity OR


• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s in the human services field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with youth in any capacity


• Must be at least 21 years old


• Experience collaborating with multiple team members to achieve a common goal


• Excellent written and verbal skills that foster clear, respectful, and empathetic communication


• Cultural humility that allows you to work effectively with individuals of various backgrounds


• Knowledge of community resources and child/family-serving systems (preferred, but not required)
