Job summary

HCT Staffing is seeking a Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join a Dynamic Team in Texas. The role reports to the Director of Medical Physics within the Department of Radiation Oncology and focuses on safe, effective radiation therapy delivery to achieve therapeutic outcomes for patients.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Science in Physics or a related field, be licensed or temporarily licensed as a Medical Physicist in Texas, and be prepared to perform QA, treatment planning support,

Qualifications

Master of Science degree is required.
Major in Physics or related field.
TX licensure: Medical Physicist (LMP) licensed or temporary.

Responsibilities

Performs, evaluates and manages quality assurance testing of treatment related machines and systems (linear accelerator, brachytherapy, CT, treatment planning system).
Performs and supervises radiation treatment requiring a therapeutic medical physicist present.
Performs and evaluates planning and calculations for external beam and brachytherapy.
Performs and evaluates patient dosimetric measurements to evaluate treatment quality.
Provides consultation to radiation oncologists, clinical staff and patients as requested.
Participates in acceptance and commissioning of new treatment modalities.
Participates in state and federal compliance of the department.
Fulfills continuing education, licensure, and certifications required to remain qualified.
