Qualifications

• M.S., M.M.P., D.M.P., or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a related field.
• Completion of a CAMPEP accredited residency in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
• Credentialing in procedures practiced independently is expected, but not required for all services.

Responsibilities

• Verifies, documents and maintains information used in calculation and delivery of radiation doses.
• Analyzes and evaluates equipment performance used in the delivery of radiation therapy.
• Provides clinical support to Consultant staff and Allied health personnel as needed.
• Remains current in treatment techniques and applicable medical physics practice.
• Provides instruction to residents, dosimetry staff, therapy staff, and students.
• Develops and performs quality assurance procedures and monitors radiation output and safety of equipment.
