Job summary

US Oncology Network is seeking a senior medical physicist in Minnesota to lead the radiation physics program, oversee dosimetry and QA, and mentor staff. This role focuses on ensuring accurate treatment plans and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.

The position requires collaboration with physicians to optimize protocols, ongoing professional certification, and leadership in quality assurance for all radiotherapy equipment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum three to five years of clinical radiation physics experience.
  • Maintain certification and continuing education requirements per ABR.
  • Current certification in the field by ABR or Board of Medical Physics.
  • Must obtain and maintain state license for medical physics as required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, evaluate, and deliver precise radiation treatment plans.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety per compliance standards.
  • Supervise maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  • Develop QA programs for external beam radiotherapy equipment.
  • Mentor junior physicists and supervise staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians to optimize treatment protocols.
