Qualifications

  • 3-5 years account management or patient education experience preferred.
  • Experience in commercial or clinical settings (hospital or home health).
  • Prior product launch experience preferred.

The Therapeutic Education Manager (TEM) is a key field-based member of the US Rare Blood Disorders Patient Services team. The TEM provides disease and product information and ongoing support to ITP and aTTP patients.

The TEM establishes and maintains relationships with healthcare professionals to provide education, ensuring a seamless patient experience. They are experts on disease state, product, administration, and services.

The TEM collaborates with cross-functional teams to facilitate timely access to therapy and ensures compliance with all policies and regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  1. HCP Site Education (40%)
    • Educate staff on disease, product, procurement, administration, and support services post-prescription/shipment.
    • Ensure healthcare providers are well-informed before treating patients with approved resources.
    • Develop account plans for ongoing education; manage territory activities via CRM.
    • Conduct educational programs with HCP staff using approved resources.
  2. Patient Assistance (20%)
    • Ensure patients are well-educated and face no unnecessary barriers to therapy.
    • Communicate treatment barriers to prescribers/office staff.
    • Collaborate with field partners to reduce cycle time for prescribed patient starts.
    • Support patient access, enrollment, and adherence through cross-functional collaboration.
  3. Patient Education (40%)
    • Engage with ITP and aTTP patients to educate on disease and product using approved resources.
    • Conduct branded/unbranded patient education programs (live and virtual).
    • Support ongoing adherence to therapy.
    • Identify opportunities to further support the ITP and aTTP communities, including representing Sanofi at local events.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient engagement in CRM.
About You

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience with medical and pharmacy benefit products
  • Empathetic listening skills
  • English required; bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Technical skills to navigate complex platforms
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree required; nursing or clinical background preferred; advanced degree a plus. The TEM is not a medical professional and should not provide medical advice.
  • Experience in commercial or clinical settings (hospital or home health)
  • Preferred: Rare Disease, Hematology/Oncology, Apheresis experience
  • 3-5 years account management or patient education experience preferred
  • Prior product launch experience preferred
  • Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements
Job Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within the territory
  • Occasional weekend/evening work for conferences/events
  • Valid Driver’s License
