Job summary

PaRC is seeking a PRN, on-call Cook in Houston, TX, to prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements. You will work with the dietitian and dietary services Director to ensure quality food service and proper portion control. Shifts include 5am–1:30pm or 10am–6:30pm, as needed.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of cooking experience. Compensation ranges from $15 to $20 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to patient nutrition and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspect diet trays to assure correct diet is served to each patient.
• Work with the clinical nutritionist and implement changes as required.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure meals are ready at designated meal times and served with proper portions.
• Oversee dishwashing and maintain HACCP procedures.
