Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking compassionate counselors to teach, learn, and join our community. You will provide group and individual sessions in outpatient settings within our prison and re-entry programs to support recovery, education, and harm-reduction goals.

The role emphasizes empathy, documentation, and collaboration with a licensed professional. Candidates should have behavioral health credentials and bilingual Spanish is preferred for outreach and case management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field or equivalent training and related experience.
• Experience in substance abuse or behavioral health treatment setting preferred.
• Understanding of therapeutic community processes and small-group dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Leads group and individual sessions under supervision.
• Observes and documents student behavior and health status; maintains confidential records.
• Prepare reporting and contract compliance documentation.
• Attend workshops and trainings as requested by supervisor.
• May serve as Community Advocate as needed.
