Job summary

Children's Home is seeking Teacher Aides to support teachers in delivering academic and behavioral instruction in a structured, therapeutic setting. You will help foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth while ensuring each student experiences success.

Responsibilities include supervising students, participating in meetings and trainings, assisting in planning, and documenting progress. Teaching duties may be performed if TA certified; collaboration with families and community

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Certification as a Teaching Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to students in a safe, positive environment using behavior management strategies.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervisory meetings and trainings.
• Act as a role model for children in the program.
• Assist the Teacher in planning and evaluating student progress.
• Provide direct assistance to students in achieving academic and behavioral goals.
• If certified as Teaching Assistant, may perform teaching duties as needed.
• Work collaboratively with families and community staff to achieve goals.
• Complete required reports and documentation on time.
