Job summary

Sacramento Children's Home is seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Services Specialist to assess and develop behavioral intervention plans for youth in Sacramento, CA. The role provides one-on-one intensive services, crisis safety planning, and caregiver education under supervision, with a focus on positive reinforcement and strength-based approaches.

The position requires multi-tasking across assessments, planning, documentation, and collaboration with a youth’s primary mental health provider.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of full time/equivalent direct care experience in the mental health field.
• Experience providing applied behavioral interventions to youth and EPSDT documentation is preferred.
• Must have strong clinical skills and ability to educate caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of behavioral intervention plans.
• Complete functional analyses and coordinate with caregivers to develop collaborative plans.
• Maintain progress notes and EPSDT documentation within required deadlines.
• Attend team and family meetings and collaborate with internal and external resources.
