Genesee Lake School, a MyPath Company, seeks a compassionate Therapeutic Support Specialist to support students with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will help develop individualized behavior support strategies, provide hands-on training, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote growth and safety.

The role includes data collection, incident review, and participation in team meetings to implement trauma-informed practices and positive behavior supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a human services field; 5+ years of relevant experience with individuals with disabilities and behavioral support needs.
• Experience with autism, behavior plan development, and data collection preferred.
• Formal training in applied behavioral principles is a plus; staff education or coaching experience is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement behavior support, intervention, and crisis plans for students with behavioral needs.
• Conduct behavioral assessments to inform individualized support plans.
• Analyze behavioral data to identify patterns and support needs.
• Review incidents and participate in post-incident debriefings with staff and students.
• Provide hands-on behavioral and therapeutic training to staff; model interventions.
