Job summary

Blue Bird Day in Chicago is seeking a Therapeutic Assistant to support children ages 2-7 with autism and other neurodiverse needs. You will help promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth through play-based activities and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

The role involves assisting with therapy activities, participating in group rotations, and coordinating with therapists and social workers. A bachelor's or associate degree (or 60 college hours) is required, plus the ability to lift

Blue Bird Day, a leading specialized intensive pediatric therapeutic day program, is seeking a Therapeutic Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists.

About the Role

As a Therapeutic Assistant, you will support children ages 2-7 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. In this role, you'll help promote each child's cognitive, social, emotional, adaptive, and developmental growth by:

• Assisting with individualized therapy activities and classroom/lesson preparation
• Supporting group therapy rotations
• Collaborating daily with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers
• Helping maintain a positive, engaging, play-based learning environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $18.25–$19/hour
