Blue Bird Day, a leading specialized pediatric therapeutic day program in Chicago, IL, is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work with children aged 2-7 with ASD, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs to promote mobility and functional independence through play-based therapy.

The role involves collaborating daily with OT, SLP, and social work colleagues, providing both individualized and group

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and group pediatric therapy
• Implement DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and IRM approaches
• Collaborate daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers
• Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care

This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive.

About the Role

As a Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Blue Bird Day, you will provide physical therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth through:

• Providing individualized and group therapy
• Implementing therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
• Collaborating daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers
• Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: $56,000-$62,000
