Job summary

You will plan and run individual and group programs, assess needs, coordinate with treatment teams, conduct sessions, monitor progress, and document outcomes in a full-time, on-site capacity, with no telework

Qualifications

• Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related field.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, coordination, and implementation of individual and group therapeutic recreation programs.
• Assess inmate strengths, needs, and functioning levels to create therapeutic recreation objectives.
• Determine methods to meet therapeutic goals and align activities with other treatment disciplines.
• Conduct therapeutic recreation sessions, provide instruction and support, and recommend program adjustments.
• Review inmate participation, document progress, and prepare required reports and notations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and offer recommendations to support individualized treatment plans.
