Job summary

Qualifications

• Education requirements: bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or master’s in Art Therapy.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead therapeutic recreation and activity-based interventions that support patient treatment goals.
• Complete patient assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure timely recordkeeping.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups using engagement and group-processing techniques.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients while promoting rights, safety, and well-being.
• Communicate patient progress, concerns, and incidents to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
