Job summary

Sitter-Barfoot Veterans Care Center, a facility operated by the Department of Veterans Services, seeks an Activities Assistant to support resident recreation and therapeutic programs for veterans, including Alzheimer/dementia residents.

You will assist the Activities Director and Coordinator in delivering approved programs, coordinating with other departments and documenting resident participation to enhance care and safety during activities.

Qualifications

• Experience providing activities programming in long term care or geriatric setting.
• Must possess physical ability to turn, bend and lift without restrictions.
• Ability to read, write and communicate ideas.
