Job summary

Apollo Global Management is seeking an Associate/Principal for its Thematic Investing team. The role focuses on building and refining investment theses, anchoring analytical depth, and guiding end-to-end diligence for equity and debt transactions in growth-stage technology companies.

You will develop research workstreams, synthesize findings for leadership, and translate themes into actionable investment decisions across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar.
• Minimum 4 years in investment banking or buy-side (private equity, private credit, growth equity).
• Experience in growth-stage technology investing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop core thematic research workstreams for all Apollo investment verticals.
• Lead end-to-end diligence and execution of venture equity & debt transactions in growth-stage tech companies.
• Cover select single-name credits across large private and public companies, developing underwriting views.
• Build detailed valuation models and financial frameworks.
• Draft investment theses and presentations for emerging themes/risks.
• Tie secular and market themes to investment opportunities in public and private markets.
• Manage 2–4 research projects per year on long-term themes.
• Monitor risks and surface issues to senior leadership.
