Job summary

Theater Outsource is seeking a Project Manager in the Los Angeles area to lead theatrical rigging and entertainment-technology projects from planning through fabrication, installation, turnover, and client training.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience managing rigging projects, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and the ability to coordinate designers, engineers, vendors, and installers in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing theatrical rigging projects or closely related installations.
• Strong understanding of theatrical rigging equipment, fabrication, field installation, and PM fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and multiple active projects at once.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
• Comfort using project-management tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple theatrical rigging and entertainment-technology projects simultaneously.
• Own project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
• Lead planning meetings and coordinate internal teams, clients, engineers, contractors, vendors, and installers.
• Track project progress, identify risks early, and adjust plans to keep work on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate project status, key decisions, challenges, and next steps clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate design, fabrication, installation, project turnover, closeout, and client training.
• Support a collaborative, solutions-focused project environment.
