Job summary

Canada's Wonderland seeks a Makeup Artist to design and apply makeup for performers across live shows and seasonal events. You will execute theater-ready looks, including prosthetics and airbrushing, and coordinate with Entertainment and Wardrobe teams to ensure consistent character appearances.

The role requires experience with wigs and quick-change scenarios, strict sanitary practices, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced entertainment setting.

Qualifications

• Formal cosmetology or makeup artistry training.
• Experience with airbrush techniques for stage productions.
• Portfolio showing beauty and SFX makeup work.
• Experience handling wigs and hairpieces for performers.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.

Responsibilities

• Create and apply makeup looks for live performances and events.
• Execute themed character and performance makeup per design specs.
• Apply special effects makeup including aging, wounds, and prosthetics.
• Collaborate with Entertainment, Wardrobe, and Production teams.
• Follow IP guidelines for makeup related to IP characters.
• Maintain clean, sanitary makeup stations and tools.
• Assist with quick changes and wig applications during performances.
• Restyle, store, and manage wigs and hairpieces properly.
• Participate in rehearsals, technical runs, and media appearances.
• Inventory makeup supplies and report needs to leadership.
