Job summary

Hale Centre Theatre seeks a full-time Automation Technician to join the Automation team at the Mountain America Performing Arts Center. You will operate and maintain automated show elements and control systems during performances, ensuring safety and reliability while supporting installations and preventive maintenance.

You will collaborate with creative and technical departments in a fast-paced, production-driven environment, handling rigging tasks, documenting checks, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operational experience with theatrical automation systems.
• 2+ years of experience with large-scale theatrical productions.
• 1+ years of experience with theatrical rigging.

Responsibilities

• Operate the automation control console in a safe, consistent manner during performances and maintenance.
• Complete pre-show checklists and document issues.
• Inspect scenery and rigging; assist with show installations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, software, and mechanical problems as they arise.
• Maintain safety policies with other departments and support training.
