Job summary

Cinemark USA, Inc. is seeking a Theater Systems Technician based in Western Ohio to install, test, and maintain IT hardware and software for theater operations. The role includes supporting escalations and collaborating with a remote project team.

You will travel to theaters for installations and upgrades, work from home on projects when not traveling, and coordinate with the TOP Support Center and theater managers to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows Server).
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Driver’s License and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
  • Preferred: Technical or Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, OR equivalent work experience., IT Certification(s) related to position.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned theaters to complete new installations, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and projects. Occasional travel outside of the assigned geographic area may be required for special projects.
  • When not traveling selected candidate will work from home on various projects using company provided computer and phone.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, network equipment, digital signage, and digital cinema (TMS) equipment.
  • Work with Cinemark TOP Support Center to provide escalated troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Work with Theater managers on proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.

Role Summary

This position will be based in Western Ohio. The Theater Systems Technician will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining IT hardware and software required for theater operations. Other duties include working as part of a remote team for project rollouts and providing support for escalations. Enhance and expand your technology skills with hands on implementation in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

  • Good understanding of Cisco networking.
  • Experience with Cinema equipment including computer systems, POS, Projection, and other systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently.
