Job summary

Stages Consultants, LLC is seeking a Theatre Systems Designer/Drafter to develop drawings, details, and technical documentation for performance spaces. The role collaborates with project leaders to coordinate across architectural, structural, electrical, and other consultants.

The candidate should have a relevant degree, CAD drafting experience, and strong communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in theatre, architecture, technical theatre, or related field.
• Experience in technical theatre, stage equipment, rigging, or lighting.
• Experience with computer-aided drafting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excel and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare stage machinery, rigging, and lighting drawings in Autodesk Revit.
• Develop schematic design, DD, and construction drawings under supervision.
• Coordinate theatre systems details with architectural, electrical, and other drawings.
• Review drawings for consistency and coordination.
• Prepare sketches, diagrams, schedules, and technical narratives.
• Support internal project coordination and QA reviews.
• Draft correspondence, meeting notes, and technical narratives.
• Utilize Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
