Job summary

The Theatre Scene Shop-SW at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH is seeking a Student Worker to assist with construction, maintenance and strike of theatrical sets, lights and props. This role offers hands-on experience in carpentry, painting, welding and technical theatre.

You'll help keep the shop organized and safe, work up to 20 hours per week during the Fall26 – Spring27 term, and gain practical skills valuable in theatre production and management.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning how to use power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• Ability to work in teams and independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set construction using power tools for both wood and metal work.
• Paint scenic elements as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop, following safety protocols set by the Technical Director.
