Playwrights Horizons is seeking a Production Supervisor in a full-time faculty role to support 20-30 student productions per semester, guiding design and technical production while coordinating with PH and Tisch resources. The role requires teaching across curricula, managing student plans, and maintaining safety and quality in a bustling theater education environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience working in technical theater.
• Able to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a week during the semester.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends during production weeks.
• Teaching or mentorship experience.
• Experience teaching in an undergraduate learning environment preferred.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Strong understanding of lighting, sound, and projections.
• Read and produce technical drawings in Vectorworks.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and develop technical production curriculum in collaboration with the Director.
• Co-teach the Project Design class with advanced training design faculty.
• Coordinate load in, rehearsals, and strike with Production staff.
• Teach technical production workshops and safety procedures.
• Attend staff and design area meetings and hold regular office hours.
