Job summary

Harvard University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Production Manager to oversee HRDC and OFA-supported undergraduate productions. The role manages main and black box stages, mentors students on technical theater, and coordinates spaces, schedules, and resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years of related experience.
  • Management experience
  • Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule including evening and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Oversee productions and related activities of HRDC and OFA-supported undergraduate productions.
  • Coordinate production activities across scenery, lighting, sound, costumes, props, projections and other areas.
  • Develop and execute production strategies, schedules and deadlines within artistic standards.
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate students on design, production planning, and safety.
  • Facilitate communication among students, OFA, and program staff to address production needs.
  • Supervise daily production operations and coordinate space scheduling and access.
  • Manage budgets and purchasing activities for HRDC and OFA-supported productions.
  • Train staff and students in safe operation of equipment and production practices.
