Job summary

Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is seeking an Associate Production Manager to support the Theatre Company, Education, and Cabaret productions. You will coordinate production activities, manage schedules and budgets, and provide coverage during rehearsals and performances.

The role emphasizes collaboration with creative teams, stage management, and production departments, with a focus on safety, equity, and inclusion as central values. Denver, CO on-site with potential hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible theatrical management or related experience.
• Understanding of production process from design to strike.
• Experience providing leadership coverage during rehearsals and performances.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple production disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Production and Senior Production Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of productions.
• Maintain schedules, budgets, staff, and compliance with agreements.
• Track production needs, deadlines, and issues with escalation as needed.
• Provide coverage during rehearsals, technical rehearsals, previews, performances, meetings, and other activities.
• Communicate decisions and changes to ensure continuity between coverage periods.
• Foster communication among production teams and staff.
