Job summary

Waverly Community Schools in Michigan seeks an Auditorium, Theater and Events Manager to oversee safe operation of all theater facilities, supervise staff, coordinate productions, rentals, and community use, and maintain theatre equipment and signage.

The role requires a theatre degree or equivalent, minimum one year in theatre operations or facility management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. 40-hour schedule, 12-month term, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Theatre or related field or equivalent theatre experience.
• Minimum 1 year in theatre operations, production, or facility management.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or related experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety procedures for theater equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate theatre productions with directors, staff, and students.
• Manage theatre rentals and public access, ensure compliance with rules.
• Support theatre program activities across levels and events.
• Schedule auditorium events and staff; maintain staff roster.
• Recruit and evaluate event technicians and crew.
• Ensure background checks and clearances are in place.
• Maintain facilities cleanliness, security, and equipment readiness.
• Assist in annual auditorium budget development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by district leadership.
