Job summary

Sight & Sound Brand in Grapevine, TX is seeking a hand-on Fabrication Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain machining tools to shape metal parts for theater sets.

You will fabricate, install, and repair mechanical components, weld and assemble structures, and assist with set installation and strikes during show changes. High school or higher; welding experience required; Solidworks/eDrawings preferred.

This on-site role requires physical work, teamwork, and precise adherence to blueprints.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience welding, operating lathes, drill presses, and related metal-fabrication equipment.
• Experience with Solidworks and eDrawings preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with welders and engineers to meet specs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and repair machining tools to shape metal parts.
• Fabricate, install, repair, and assemble mechanical and hydraulic components for sets.
• Form, weld, assemble, and connect metal structures for theatrical pieces.
• Assist in the installation and strike of sets during show changes.
• All other duties as assigned.
