Job summary

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints/drawings
• Experience welding, operating lathes, and drill press
• Experience with Solidworks and eDrawings preferred
• Able to work with welders and engineers to ensure parts meet specs and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and repair machining tools (mills, lathe, grinders) to shape and cut metal parts.
• Fabricate, install, repair and assemble mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components for set pieces and in-house projects.
• Form, weld, assemble, and clean metal connections for set pieces and theatrical structures.
• Assist in installation and strike of sets and scenic elements during show changes.
