The City of Manhattan is seeking a Theatre Director for the MPRD summer theatre program. This seasonal, non-exempt role will manage a large group of children in an indoor facility and ensure a positive, educational experience.
Responsibilities include blocking a musical, teaching theatre techniques, creating lesson plans, and maintaining effective communication with students and parents. The position requires 18+ years of age and background check clearance.

Position Purpose:
The Theatre Director will possess the basics of theatre, dance, and/or music to run the MPRD summer musical theatre program. Must be able to manage large, diverse groups of children. Must be available Tuesday evenings during the school year.
