Job summary

Theatre Aspen is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Development to support campaign planning, donor relations, and grant activities. The role requires coordinating with the Director of Development and the Director of Special Events to ensure day‑to‑day operations run smoothly.

The candidate should have a fundraising background, attention to detail, and comfort with donor databases such as PatronManager. Location can be Aspen or NYC, with six months in Aspen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; phone etiquette.
• Extremely organized with sharp attention to detail.
• Thrives in relationship-building and administrative tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; nonprofit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Director of Development on fundraising campaigns from planning to execution.
• Process online contributions and maintain donor records in PatronManager.
• Send acknowledgements and donor thank-you notes in a timely manner.
• Conduct donor research and identify new fund sources.
• Communicate with donors by phone and email; manage membership programs.
• Create data reports to track donor metrics and pledges.
