Job summary

The University of Redlands invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor who will serve as Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance.

The position starts August 2027, with responsibilities including teaching the equivalent of three courses per semester, directing and designing productions, and cross-listing courses with Race and Ethnic Studies, Gender and Women’s Studies, and/or Studio Art.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Art or related field (required).
• PhD or higher in Art or related field (required).
• MFA or PhD with demonstrated ability to serve as Department Chair.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of three courses per semester.
• Direct and design productions for the department.
• Teach courses cross-listed with Race and Ethnic Studies, Gender and Women’s Studies, and/or Studio Art.
• Provide academic and administrative oversight as Department Chair.
