Job summary

The School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts at Oregon State University invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026/2027 academic year. Appointments may be renewed or transitioned to an instructional role at the Director’s discretion, with opportunities to teach on campus or via Ecampus in Theatre Arts areas.

Start dates are 2026-09-16, with anticipated end dates 2027-06-15.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Theatre Arts or closely related field required by start date.
• Commitment to educational equity is required.
• Record of engaging and mentoring diverse learners and promoting inclusive excellence.
• Ability to work collegially with faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Administer and teach undergraduate courses on campus or through eCampus in Theatre Arts.
• Teach courses such as acting, introduction to Theatre Arts, technical theatre, costuming, stage and lighting design, etc.
