Job summary

Cedarville University seeks online and residential Theatre adjuncts to instruct in our undergraduate Art, Design and Theatre program. Responsibilities include teaching per course objectives, syllabus, and content developed by the department; providing timely feedback to students and maintaining professional credentials.

Adjunct positions are temporary, part-time, with potential remote work in certain U.S. states (excluding California, Hawaii, and D.C.).

Qualifications

• M.F.A. in Theatre Performance, Design, or a bachelor’s degree with active pursuit of M.F.A.
• Demonstrable professional expertise and experience in the discipline to be taught with portfolio or CV/reel
• Documented successful teaching experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Competency in online delivery systems, with preference for Canvas
• Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian
• Agreement with Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement and Standards

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in alignment with course objectives and syllabus content.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and assist them in achieving learning objectives.
• Maintain professional credentials and expertise in the discipline.
• Adhere to Cedarville instructional standards and university policies.
• Participate in online and on-campus instruction as needed.
