Job summary

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) seeks a Theater Technician Specialist/Client Coordinator to provide first-line on-site technical support for the Loudoun campus theater and event center.

Responsibilities include preparing spaces, operating audio/visual equipment during events, post-show cleanup, and equipment maintenance. The role requires flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theater terminology, design principles and practices, theater equipment/supplies.
• Knowledge of Electronic and audio principles used in theater productions.
• Knowledge of safety requirements for personnel and equipment.
• Ability to trouble shoot and perform routine maintenance of theater production equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the theater and surrounding spaces for the client.
• Operate audio and visual equipment for the event including technical rehearsals, performances and presentations.
• Post show cleanup.
• Maintain the equipment during and after the event.
• Ensure proper use of theater equipment.
